Opacity Monitor (2015/12/19 13:00-14:00 UTC)

  • top-left: 183GHz opacity distribution in a fish-eye-lens-like view. A circle with solid line indicates a sky line (EL=0), and each circle with dotted line indicates elevation angle of 20, 40, 60, and 80 degrees. The north is top, and the east is right.
  • top-right: 183GHz opacity fluctuation distribution, which is calculated by subtracting a plane-parallel slab tau0 sec Z (Z is a zenith angle) from the opacity distribution, and dividing it by the zenith opacity tau0. The derivation process of the maps is shown here.
  • bottom-left: Time variance of the 183 GHz zenith opacity.
  • bottom-right: Time variance of the 183 GHz opacity fluctuation, which is an r.m.s. of the fluctuation map devided by zenith opacity.
