Infomation about OT Hands-on sesssion
OT Hands-on sessionの申し込みは締め切られており、申し込みしてない方は参加できませんのでご注意ください。申し込み者へ個別メールにてお知らせした通りOT Hands-onは、8つのZOOM breakout roomと呼ばれる少人数用zoomインターフェースにて行われます。グループ分けなどはOT Hands-on参加者宛にリンクした資料をご覧ください。 breakout roomへの誘導などの操作はこちらが行います。 Hands-onは基本的に OT Quickstart Guideに従いますが、ご自身の提案がある方はそれを持ち寄ることを推奨します。 たとえそれが具体化が完全でなくてもチューターに相談することができる機会ですのでご活用ください。 まだそのような案がない場合でもOT Quickstart Guideに従ってstep by stepでOTの使い方を知ることができます。
o 事前準備(22日まで）
- 事前に必ずOT for Cycle 8 2021 をご自身の計算機にインストールしてください( https://almascience.nao.ac.jp/proposing/observing-tool)。
- お持ちでない方はALMAアカウントの登録をお願いします 。プロポーザル投稿には必須です。 登録は ALMA Science Portal ページ右上の "log in"ボタンを押し、プルダウンメニューから "Register"を選択 することで行えます。
- OT Quickstart Guideと ALMA Proposer's Guide をお手元にダウンロードしておいてください。
o 当日の流れ
11:15までに会議のZOOMに接続しOTを起動しておいてください。 また、zoomでの表示名にroom番号を追加記述して下さい。 部屋番号などの詳細はmailでお送りしたhands-onのインストラクションをご覧ください。 トラブルがある方はお知らせください。

The registraion for OT Hands-on session has already been closed. Please note that those who have not registared cannot participate.
Participants in OT Hands-on are divided into 8 groups with a few members and tutor will give a hands-on session at each breakout room. Basically, it follows the OT Quickstart Guide. But you can take this OT hands-on session with your own observation setting/idea if you already have. We strongly recommend to prepare an observation setting/idea even if it's not concrete idea. This is a good opportunity to ask questions and get advice from the tutor.
Please check the email sent to the participants. Your breakout room number and instruction for the OT Hands-on are described in the document linked from the notification mail. If you have any troubles such as installation of OT, please let us know.
o Before 22nd (Preparation for OT Hands-on)
- Install OT for Cycle 8 2021 on your PC from https://almascience.nao.ac.jp/proposing/observing-tool
- Register your ALMA account (if not yet have) from ALMA Science Portal (click "log in" button at the top right of the page and select "Register" )
- Download OT Quickstart Guide and ALMA Proposer's Guide
o At the session on 22nd
Please connect to meeting ZOOM by 11:15 and launch OT. Don't forget to change your name in zoom according to the instructions sent by email.
ARC host will move you to your breakout room. Tutor will give a hands-on session at each breakout room. I send detailed information by email in 19.
