to achieve gender equal society.

● 家族に未就学児童や介護必要者がいて勤務時間上の制限が大きい職員について、アカデミック・アシスタントを配置し研究の支援を行う制度があります。
We provide a system of deploying research assistants to support research faculties who don’t have enough time for work because of taking care of preschoolers or members in need of care in their families.
● 国立天文台フェローまたはプロジェクト研究員の方が産前産後休暇、育児休業及び介護休業を取った場合、その日数分、雇用期間の上限が延長されます。
If NAOJ fellows or project research fellows take maternity leave or family care leave, the period of employment will be extended for the total duration of the leave.
● 人事公募の際、産前産後休暇、育児休業および介護休業を取得した期間が応募書類に書かれていれば、選考の過程でそれを考慮します。例えば、年平均の論文出版数を見る時、その分母には休暇・休業期間は含めずに計算します。
If the period of maternity leave, child care leave and family care leave is written in resume for recruitment, the total leave days is considered in the process of selection. For example, when we calculate the number of annual average of research paper, the total number of leave days is not included in denominator.
● 平成27年4月に三鷹キャンパスに保育ルームを設置しました。国立天文台の構成員及び天文台の構成員以外の者であって国立天文台を会場とする研究集会等の行事に参加する者等を利用対象とします。詳細はお問い合わせください。
We have opened the Childcare Room（Mitaka campus） since April, 2015. Members of NAOJ and those who visit NAOJ for an event such as research conference are eligible to use the Childcare Room. For further details, please contact us.
