Preparations†
1. Start COSMOS3 and tune the receiver to be used†
- Login to COSMOS3 manager GUI with Group=asteXX (e.g. aste16) and Project=sbrfXX (e.g. sbrf16)
2. Check Aspirin is in the WIND ON mode†
- Aspirin's running can be confirmed by looking at the Aspirin Monitor window. Check the following three items.
Current time = 2015/04/06 01:22:06 <--- The differences among these three times
Aspirin time = 2015/04/06 01:22:04 <--- should be less than 60 seconds.
Weather time = 2015/04/06 01:22:01 <---
Aspirin Offset : (Az, El) = ( 8.65, 4.62 )
Aspirin status : OK ( C22:on C6:OFF WIND:OFF) <--- should be "WIND_ON"
Refraction Corr. status : OK <--- should be "OK"
3. Launch CONT qlook†
- Run CONT qlook (qlookc) from cos3launcher and turn on auto-pointing on the qlook
Measurement†
Check list†
- Aspirin is running with the WIND ON mode
1. Adjust pointing†
- Adjust pointing using either of the following observation tables
Saturn | DASH345 | stx5d3.start |
BAND8 | stx5b8.start |
2. Adjust focus†
- Measure z-position of the sub-reflector by running either of the following observation tables
Saturn | DASH345 | stsbd3z.start |
BAND8 | stsbb8z.start |
- if |dz| > 0.1 mm, add its resultant offset to dz
3. Run either of the following observation lists in the batch mode of the COSMOS3 manager GUI†
Saturn | DASH345 | stsbd3.list |
BAND8 | stsbb8.list |
