Preparations†

1. antstat is running on aste-1c†

• antstat records antenna positions, which are used for off-line analysis of OPT measurements.

  > ssh asteXX@aste-1c  (should be astecntl???)
  aste-1c > ps -ef | grep antstat
  If no antstat is running, run it.
  aste-1c > nohup antstat &

  aste-2c{astecntl}54: nohup ./antstat &
  • ※ COSMOS再起動をした場合は、再度 antstat を起動してください。これを忘れると、測定プログラム iOPT_r17c を走らせても "Antenna not ready!" のままデータが取得されません。

2. Aspirin is running on aste-1c†

Current time = 2015/04/06 01:22:06    <--- The time differences among these three time
Aspirin time = 2015/04/06 01:22:04    <--- should be less than 60 seconds.
Weather time = 2015/04/06 01:22:01    <---
Aspirin Offset : (Az, El) = (   8.65,   4.62 )
Aspirin status : OK ( C22:on  C6:OFF WIND:OFF)  <- should be "OK" and not "WIND_ON"
Refraction Corr. status : OK                    <- should be "OK"

• Its running can be confirmed by looking at the Aspirin Monitor window. Make sure the following three items.
  • The time differences
  • Aspirin status is OK
  • Refraction Correction is OK.

3. (dAz, dEL) is (0.0, 0.0)†

• Confirm that dAz and dEl are 0.0s in the AZEL Offset window.
  • If they have some offsets, set ddAz and/or ddEL so that they become 0.0 in the AZEL offset window.
• Login to aste-c1c with asteXX and start opt

  > ssh asteXX@aste-c1c

5. Start iOPT†

• Start pointing

  > ssh asteXX@aste-c1c

  前の観測者が測定プログラムを走らせたままか確認

  測定プログラムの起動
  aste-cabin1c{astepon}43: iOPT_r17c
  すると、”antenna not ready”のメッセージが毎秒流れてくる。
  天体に向くと毎秒10-15の測定値が流れる。
  optonのdirectoryにyyyymmddhhmm.tabというlogging fileが生成される。
  強制終了(CNTL&C)されるまで走っている。COSMOSで指示書を変えても同じlogging fileにデータが取得されるため、別のlogging fileにしたい場合は、一度強制終了して再度起動させる。

Measurements†

1. Start measurements

   Group：   asteXX
   Project： optXX
   ObsTable: select an observation table close to starting LST
             (e.g. L14h30m.start at LST14:40)

   1. Observation tables shall be updated every year so as to take account of proper motions of stars.
   2. An execution roughly runs for about 80 minutes.
   3. 測定の視野は＋－10秒角である (10.5秒とかの数値を表示したら、星像が視野の淵にいる。）星が全く見えない場合、星を長時間trackingする指示書を流して全視野撮像する(5へ)

• Trouble Shooting aste-c1cが落ちる Trouble Shoot のページ参照 測定プログラム iOPT_r17c を走らせても "Antenna not ready!" のままデータが取得されない antstat が起動してない可能性があります。 COSMOSを再起動をすると、antstatも落ちるので、再度起動する必要があります。
