CSV2017:Final check of radio pointing offsets in BAND8 and DASH345

Tasks

Preparations

  1. Basic checks
    • Make sure that DASH3 and BAND8 are linked to the following files
      [aste17@aste-ms1 ~]$ ssh astecntl@aste-1c "ls -l /cosmos3/aste/etc/kisag/{DASH3,BAND8}"
      lrwxrwxrwx 1 astecntl astctl 12 May 31 07:58 /cosmos3/aste/etc/kisag/BAND8 -> BAND8.170531
      lrwxrwxrwx 1 astecntl astctl 12 May 31 07:33 /cosmos3/aste/etc/kisag/DASH3 -> DASH3.170531
      • If not, contact with CSV lead.
    • Set all subref parameters (dx,dy,dz,dtx,dty,dtz) zeros in the subref offset GUI.
    • Confirm that Aspirin is working in the "WIND ON" mode. If not, start it following the instructions in How to restart Aspirin.

Final check of radio pointing offsets in DASH345 and BAND8

  1. Tune DASH345
  2. Adjust pointing toward Saturn with DASH345
    aste17:sbref/stx5d3.start
    • Record resultant pointing offsets.
  3. Just measure pointing offsets toward Saturn with DASH345 (don't adjust)
    aste17:radpon/istx5d3.start
  4. Tune BAND8
  5. Just measure pointing offsets toward Saturn with BAND8 (don't adjust)
    aste17:radpon/istx5b8.start
    • Record the measured pointing offsets of the last AZ and EL scans.
