Preparations

  1. Basic checks
    • Make sure that DASH3 and BAND8 are linked to the following files
      [aste17@aste-ms1 ~]$ ssh astecntl@aste-1c "ls -l /cosmos3/aste/etc/kisag/{DASH3,BAND8}"

      • If not, contact with CSV lead.
    • Set all subref parameters (dx,dy,dz,dtx,dty,dtz) zeros in the subref offset GUI.
    • Confirm that Aspirin is working in the "WIND ON" mode. If not, start it following the instructions in How to restart Aspirin.

  1. Tune DASH345
  2. Adjust pointing toward Saturn with DASH345
    aste17:sbref/stx5d3.start
    • Record resultant pointing offsets.
  3. Measure pointing offsets toward Saturn with DASH345
    aste17:radpon/istx5d3.start
  4. Tune BAND8
  5. Measure pointing offsets toward Saturn with BAND8
    aste17:radpon/istx5b8.start
  6. Tune DASH345
  7. Measure pointing offsets toward Saturn with DASH345
    aste17:radpon/istx5d3.start
  8. Tune BAND8
  9. Measure pointing offsets toward Saturn with BAND8
    aste17:radpon/istx5b8.start
