Measurement

  1. Start COSMOS3 and tune the receiver to be used
    • Check Aspirin is in the WIND ON mode
  2. Login to COSMOS3 manager GUI with Group=asteXX (e.g. aste16) and Project=sbrfXX (e.g. sbrf16)
  3. Run CONT qlook (qlookc) from cos3launcher and turn on auto-pointing on the qlook
  4. Adjust pointing using either of the following observation tables

    SaturnDASH345stx5d3.start
    BAND8stx5b8.start

  5. Measure z-position by running either of the following observation tables and then, add its resultant offset to dz (if |dz| > 0.1 mm)

    SaturnDASH345stsbd3z.start
    BAND8stsbb8z.start

  6. Run either of the following observation lists in the batch mode of the COSMOS3 manager GUI

    SaturnDASH345stsbd3.list
    BAND8stsbb8.list

    • A loop consists of 12 observation tables after initial pointing
      Step 0. initial pointing
      Step 1. repeat [z->a->b->c->d->e->a->f->g->h->i->a]

      z|
      -+
          e A
          d |X (dx=1.0 mm)
      g f a h i <-Y (dy=1.0 mm)
          b
          c
    • Since data are reduced by a unit of the loop, stop running observations after the last observation table "a" if necessary
